The Nike KD 12 “Aunt Pearl”, dressed in monochromatic pink as a nod to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, borrows multiple design details from previous ‘Aunt Pearl’ colorways.The bold rose print that wraps around the heel is live and direct from the KD 6, and the winged midfoot strap -— arguably the shoe’s most noticeable detail -— flew over from the KD 7. Elsewhere, the synthetic uppers lies mostly unassuming while still in complement, shrouding pieces of the series’ past iterations and leaving accents by way of the swoosh and tread to speak more loudly in their luxe texture and colorful marbling, respectively.
